There has been a growing concern about the existence of PALM OIL as an ingredient in Super Lutein and in Mirto+ and why Naturally Plus has chosen to include such a controversially harvested ingredient.

Palm Oil manufacturing has become an ethical topic mainly because with the initial growth of popularity of the ingredient, heavy harvesting began and as a result, deforestation occurred and hence placed wildlife (primarily orangutans) in danger and near extinction.
Palm Oil is a an amazing source for quality Vitamin A (alpha and beta carotene). The Palm Oil Carotene in Super Lutein and Mirto+ are sourced from RSPO manufacturers that are mindful of sustainable and safe production. RSPO stands for "Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil". RSPO is an international organization that promotes manufacturing methods which are sustainable for the ecology of nature and animals. RPSO members are comprised of diverse stakeholders that include fat/oil companies, traders, banks, consumer goods manufacturers and NGOs. RSPO holds the largest, independent, third-party standard for the more sustainable production of palm oil. Certified palm oil protects the environment and the local communities who depend on it. In November 2018 the RSPO standard was strengthened and it now represents an essential tool that can help companies achieve their commitments to palm oil that is free of deforestation, exploitation and the use of fire.
NP only uses the best RSPO manufacturers as we strive to offer products that are mindful of the environment, animal and plant life alike.
